An Excerpt from "A Philosophical Journey: The Search for Meaning in Human Existence upon the Death of God"

And as long as we hold on to this premise, we no longer have absolute nor objective meaning in our lives. There is only subjective meaning, which is bound to change every moment and leaves us insecure. We are like sailors in the dark stormy sea with no land ahead of us, and there never will be land. A compass is useless for even the Northern stars have been covered by clouds. And yet we depend on subjective meaning, which, at its best, is an illusion. It is a mental construct that keeps our frail existence alive for a few more breaths at the face of the grandiose cold universe. We are paradox.
