A ‘Nobel’ Prayer

A prayer, here said to my friend and unto You:
Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. And whatever you do,whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. Colossians 3:15-17
In all seriousness, as we are to live and do all in the name of the Lord, I want to start praying now, that you be the first to win a Nobel Prize in Literature and I be the first to win in Medicine as a Korean, with whatever sacrifices that need be made within grounds of never losing God. Life is too valuable to simply live. Most importantly, however, I pray that this does not become an obsession, a pursuit of greed or an ambition. I pray that it simply be out of a pure heart for Jesus. As you wake up the dormant souls by becoming a voice to those silently suffering from injustice, as I set free those in bondage of physical pain, let us see even all the little tasks met with us during the journey as equally important. Though we may feel to be circumventing, taking a longer path, let us never stop to help those that we can there and then. Let us never stop loving the Lord, even if our small plans are never met here in this world.
