From Matthew 11:17

Truly the best orchestral piece was made.
Finest instruments were prepared,
and select masters were called to participate.

It was to be a celebration, a blessed call to life,
Joyous feast for the hungry, the place to be.
but no one cared! Not a ear came to hear.

So, they mourned, cried aloud in mountainsides.
They sung a dirge, a requiem, danse macabre
but no one cared! Not a ear came to hear.

What is to be said of this generation?
The hosts simply walked away into eternity
leaving all those left behind.

The earth shook, the storms came, the fire blasted,
but after all, a gentle whisper came, then silence.
A dichotomy of heaven and hell

The separation resounds in silence forever
He has invited you, all of you.
but no one cared! Not a ear came to hear.

"We played the flute for you, and you did not dance;
we sang a dirge, and you did not mourn."
Matthew 11:17
